Lima,Ohio -

The Independent Film Festival made its way to Lima this weekend, bringing in people from all over the country. Artists used the event as a way to show their films to the public, some of them for the first time.

The Northwest Ohio Independent Film Festival holding its 2nd annual event this weekend, taking advantage of the facilities at the Lima Civic Center. One of the weekend's youngest film makers, 15 year old Eli Leiss, starred as the main actor in his film "Vincent vs. The Freak in the Woods." Eli has made several videos and posted them on Youtube, but this weekend's showing was the first time he and others have seen his film on the big screen, an opportunity he is grateful for.

Making the longest trip to Lima, Susanna Dalcrelo, an Italian film maker, made the trip from London, England. Thankful for the opportunity to show off her film, "Look After Yourself," Susanna did admit, she knew absolutely nothing about Lima, Ohio.

Holding the event in Lima not only allows for a unique cultural experience, it also helps the city economically, as film makers spent their hard earned money at area restaurants and shopping centers.

The experience spread from the Civic Center, creating several discussion panels, one dealing with comics on the big screen. Alter Ego Comics made the most of festival's presence, creating a panel to answer any questions that film makers may have pertaining to creating the perfect cinematic monster and villain.
