Spencerville, Ohio -

A tricky fire for the Spencerville Fire Department Monday morning.

The call came in to 14960 Spencerville Road after motorists spotted black smoke rolling out from the property. The fire started in an older, travel camper and quickly spread to a large pile of trash that included everything from small propane tanks to lawn mowers, go-carts and insulation.

The fire was so intense it melted siding on the back of the house about 35 feet away. Fire officials say they got a quick jump on the flames and are glad they didn't have to work in last week's weather conditions.

The trailer was unoccupied and there were no injuries.

Captain Rich Wilson says the investigation continues into what exactly caused the fire.
