ODOT workers have been clearing roughly 120 dump truck loads a day of tree debris from the streets and sidewalks, working straight through the 100 degree heat.
It has been over a week since the storms, and the clean up continues through
much of Hancock County. The city of Findlay has been making great strides
in cleaning up debris, despite the unrelenting heat and humidly, with
the help of the Ohio Department of Transportation.
ODOT workers have been
clearing roughly 120 dump truck loads a day of tree debris from the
streets and sidewalks, working straight through the 100 degree heat.
ODOT worker, Jeromy Piehl didn't get any relief from the heat when he
went home for much of the week either. The ODOT crews were off for
the weekend in part because of the extreme heat conditions, however they
will be back on the job Monday morning.
Piehl says that if you see
cones and large equipment on the streets, to please take caution when
driving around, to keep everyone safe while they finish cleaning up
streets.
