Dupont, Ohio -
Putnam County's Habitat for Humanity volunteers have been busy over the past few months, spending countless hours on a project in Continental. Tonight, all the hard work paid off with the dedication ceremony for the Soto family home.
Pedro, Amey, and their two kids Nathan and Hannah are the most recent recipients in Putnam County, and more specifically Continental, to receive a home built by Habitat for Humanity. For the family, the whole experience has been unlike anything else and believe it may take some time to set in.
The home was built with an open floor plan and has three bedrooms, perfect for Hannah and Nathan, who previously shared the same room. As for Pedro and Amey, the timing is perfect after winds from recent storms damaged their trailer home in nearby Dupont.
When asked what's next, Pedro simply said he and his family will take some time to get settled in. Now that they have a new property and plenty of space, Pedro says a small cookout may also be in the future.
