Time is of the essence when it comes to a person's health.
That's why Van Wert County Hospital is making medical records available to doctors electronically. Van Wert is the second hospital in the state to adopt the health information exchange system called CliniSync. The system delivers information like lab results from the hospital to other healthcare providers. Clinisync saves hospitals lots of time because they don't have to fax or mail a paper record.
The new system will also prevent duplication of documents. Lima's St. Rita's Medical Center was first in the state to use CliniSync.
