Lima Ohio -
The first ever One Community Day event taking place across the street from Shawnee Alliance Church, helping to bring the surrounding community together. Food vendors and garage sales set up shop on the grounds outside, selling pizza, drinks, vegetables, and items for the home. Inside, out of the heat, health vendors set up booths providing free health screenings.
For event organizers, the variety of sale items and screening types was an attempt to reach a large range of people, helping to bring community members of all ages together. With a few hundred people stopping by to browse and purchase, organizers are hoping to improve on this year and bring it back in 2013 as an annual event.
