Military Family Picnic

One year after honoring the deployment of loved ones, family members of the National Guard's 137th Infantry Brigade Combat Team come together for the Family Readiness annual picnic.

Fassett Farms is no stranger to veterans as it helps to rehabilitate injured soldiers, using their Equestrian Therapy Program. Holding the deployment celebration last year, event organizers found it fit to use the grounds once again, this time for the families to come together.

Enjoying food, games and the company of others, family members took the opportunity to support one another during these stressful times. Staff Sgt. William Brewer says there's two battles going on, one over seas, and one for the families back home.

After honoring the men and women before their deployment last year, and bringing the families together this year, Fassett Farms hopes to make it three consecutive events, honoring the soldiers when they return home.
