Lima Ohio -
The sun is shining and the temperatures are up over 90 degrees. As a result, people are staying inside, something that is hurting the business of ice cream truck driver Rachel Margraf.
Driving up and down the streets of Lima Tuesday night, Rachel only made three sales in a little more than an hour. To make up for some of those lost sales, Rachel and other drivers are making stops at area businesses such as Tom Ahl dealerships.
On Tuesday, driver Amanda Wienken made the trip to Tom Ahl, something that has helped her make some money during these struggling hot days. The sight of Amanda's truck and the catchy jingle that blasted from the speakers, brought out the kid in many of the workers. Denny Maier was eager to jump in line, grabbing his favorite ice cream snack, the Bomb Pop.
Looking towards the end of the week, there may be some relief as far as temperatures. Cooler temperatures could lead to better sales for area ice cream truck drivers.
