Photography Business Feeling The Heat

Posted: Updated:

Stephanie Hall clicks the shutter for a living. She owns Yvonne Photography. Business has been slow as of late and it is all related to the record high temperatures we have been experiencing. Hall said "normally this time of year we have beautiful grass in Ohio we're known for out trees. Our scenery is beautiful. This heat has really put a damper on that. Our local farms, going out there and trying to photograph in them with wildflowers I'm just not getting them shots this year."

Hall moved from the south two years ago and is just a year into her business her shoots may not be as busy as she would like but that hasn't slowed her down from getting the job done. Customers say they can handle the heat to help promote a local business. Customer Daniel Sparkman said "it's some what a little breezy even though it's hot, but you know she's very good and fast and quick. We came out here real quick and fast. And boom it's been done and now we're on our way home to get out of the heat."

Hall said "the kids are out of school this time of the year. Parents are wanting to do that. If I keep making them smile the next person is going to say you know they fought through the heat we can do it as well." Hall feels a sense of satisfaction when her customers see the finished product, once they get back in the air conditioned studio to look over the pictures. "we'll get over it. You know there are people we can help out in the long run. I feel as though I helped a family get pictures done when they didn't think it was possible." said Hall.
