The brother of a former Lima City Council member will face a jury later this summer.
A trial date of September eighteenth has been set for Larry Magnus.
Magnus was indicted for allegedly filing a false election petition that ended up getting Brian Cheney disqualified from the ballot in his run for commissioner.
Magnus, the brother of former Councilman Ray Magnus, allegedly turned in a petition that was signed by some residents without an official witness present.
Magnus is also not allowed to be a petition circulator because he is an ex-felon still on probation.
