It seems that family time is getting hard to come by.
One Mercer county mayor is doing what he can to make sure there's more of that to go around.
For Celina resident Terry Van Tilburg, walking his two dogs through Westview park is a peaceful thing. In fact he was the only one enjoying the park this particular Sunday morning.
The reason the park is so empty is an edict from the Jeff Hazel administration which curtails city organized sporting events in city parks on Sunday's before 1 p.m. and on Wednesday's after 6 p.m.
The issue was prompted by a letter by the Celina Ministerial Association.
Hazel says they had already adopted a policy before the letter even went out.
Mayor Hazel implemented the changes a few weeks ago and that did not require any action by Celina city council.
