A local food pantry was on the receiving end of some community support Thursday. The wheelchair ramp at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen was run down after more than twenty years of use.
With supplies donated by Crouse Lumber and labor supplied by retired members of UAW 1219, the food bank is getting its new ramp. The ramp crew consists of 25 to 30 men, 65 years of age or older. The crew has been together for 15 years, and completes about 45 ramps per year.
