Jackson to remain committed in psychiatric hospital

Posted: Updated:

An Allen County woman will remain at the Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital. Judge Jeffery Reed continued the commitment of Kenyada Jackson after a hearing Tuesday morning.

A report by Doctor Habeeb Arar says that Jackson is still mentally ill and needs to be hospitalized by the court. In November of 2011, Reed found Jackson not guilty by reason of insanity to five felony counts including aggravated murder, attempted murder, and abuse of a corpse.

Jackson was charged in the death of her 4 year old sister and attack on her mother just days before she was set to graduate from Elida High School.
