Posted: Updated:

A Spencerville woman makes an appearance in Lima Municipal Court a week after being arrested for leaving her infant in a car.

Shana Stiles, 20, entered a not guilty plea to child endangering, a misdemeanor of the first degree punishable by a thousand dollar fine and up to 180 days in jail.

She is accused of leaving her 8 month old daughter in her vehicle with the windows up as she was in the Verizon store on Elida Road on August 1st.

Temperatures that day were in the mid 80's.

The child was unhurt and released to her father.
