LIMA, OHIO -
The state isn't having much luck recruiting volunteers for what it calls the Medical Reserve Corps.
The idea is to sign up thousands of men and women to be part of a network of volunteers who will help out in times of disaster.
County health officials are having a tough time either getting the word out about the recruiting effort or say people simply aren't interested in helping out.
The Allen County Health Department says the volunteers are crucial to assist emergency responders in times of trouble.
They would like to recruit up to 125 volunteers in Allen County.
