There were a lot of long hours worked and sleepless nights in the days following the June 29th storm that blew through this area. None more so that in Columbus Grove, where village workers put their personal storm issues aside to get the village back on its feet.
Working 16 to 18 hour days, it didn't take long for downtown Columbus Grove to be re-opened. For that effort, the village council in Columbus Grove and Village Mayor Ken Wright said "thank you" on Friday with a barbecue rib lunch for the workers.
Mayor Wright says workers endured days with 100 degree temperatures to clean the village. He says Columbus Grove is made up of good people and that showed following the late June storm.
