Paul Ryan chosen as Romney's running mate

Ohio's Senator Rob Portman has been in the spotlight for the last few months as one of the top names thrown around for Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney's running mate. Saturday, all that speculation was put to rest.

Romney introduced Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan as his running mate.

Ryan is perhaps best-known around the country as being the architect of a conservative budget plan to remake medicare and cut trillions in federal spending.

Allen County Republican Party Chairman Keith Cheney says Ryan actually has a couple of Ohio connections.

Romney and his new running mate have set off on a bus tour of the battleground states.
