A fire that broke out Friday night in a concession stand at Van Wert's Smiley Park, was deliberately set.

According to Van Wert Fire Chief Jim Steel, the state fire marshal's office has declared the fire as arson and are offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever started it.

Chief Steel says the damage to the building and contents totaled $147,000. If you have information about the fire, you should contact the Van Wert Police Department at 419-238-2462.
