Lima Ohio -
In current economic times, a focus has been placed on lowering the unemployment rate in Ohio and creating new jobs. Helping to do just that is Mark Kvamme, President of Jobs Ohio, who was in Lima Tuesday talking with area manufacturers.
"How can Ohio, and more specifically Lima, play a role in an economic rebound?" That was the question swirling this afternoon at a private meeting between Kvamme, Representative Matt Huffman (R-Lima) and area manufacturing companies. Taking part in the meeting, Ford, General Dynamics, MetoKote and several other companies.
Today's meeting was a way to communicate concerns and to take a look at what is and is not working. At this time, the efforts of Jobs Ohio appear successful, bringing down Ohio's unemployment rate in each of the 88 counties, bringing the state average one percent below the federal rate.
Kvamme now heads to Cleveland to talk with area businesses there, helping to push Governor Kasich's Jobs Ohio plan.
