A plea agreement for the woman connected to three bomb scares at Lima City Schools. 28 year old Amanda Hunt was scheduled to be tried on August 27th for three counts of inducing panic. Instead, Hunt pleaded guilty to one count of inducing panic and one count of attempting to induce panic. The third count was dropped. Hunt faces up to 11 years in prison for the felonies. She will be sentenced on October 2nd.
Hunt was arrested after the Lima Police Department traced cell phone calls back to her home. In total, four bomb scares were reported at Lima City Schools this spring. She is connected to the threats made on March 16th, 19th, and 27th at Lima Senior and Lima South schools. Classes were suspended and students were evacuated each time.
