Hardin County -
Classes don't start until tomorrow for Ohio Northern University students, but the freshmen were already put to work.
For the first time, first-year students took part in Ada Civic Engagement Day. An initiative designed to make students aware of the need for service in the community.
Students served in many ways, from landscaping to distributing food. Students gave out over 5,000 pounds of food at a mobile food pantry located at the former Ada First United Methodist Church parking lot. Students say it was a great way to make friends and help out those in need.
