Moreo Gets Jail Time

Allen County -

A Spencerville man is sentenced to 30 consecutive months in prison for forgery and theft from the elderly.

Joshua Moreo is guilty of stealing at least one check from his grandfather. As he sat before Allen County Common Pleas Judge Richard Warren today, he showed no remorse for his actions.

Judge Warren sentenced Moreo to a term of twelve months for forgery, a fifth degree felony. He then sentenced him to a term of eighteen months in jail for theft from the elderly, a felony of the fourth degree. Moreo will also have to pay back the more than $2,000 dollars he stole from his grandfather.

Moreo is still awaiting court time in Mercer County for a home invasion case near Mendon back in February. He is expected to be indicted for his role in the robbing of a woman and elderly father, and threatening to kill them.
