Rally in the Square accident investigation completed
Its been more than two months since a car careened into a crowd of people at Rally in the Square, injuring several bystanders.
This afternoon (Aug 24), the investigation involving the driver of the car was completed. The Lima Police Department released the toxicology test results of Linda Booth. Booth was the driver of the car that went into the crowd of people on Friday, June 15th, during the rally in the square that caused a frantic scene, injuring roughly two dozen bystanders.
Late this afternoon, Major Chip Protsman announced that the blood test results showed no indication of illegal drugs or alcohol in Booth's system at the time of the accident. Major Protsman also said, the prosecutors office has issued a summons for Booth, and she was sighted for failure to maintain reasonable control.
Next Friday, August 31st, is the last Rally in the Square for the 2012 season.
