Down home country for Convoy musician

A homecoming of sorts for bassist Cassady Feasby.

The 1999 graduate of Crestview High School is a member of Dierks Bentley's band, which performed Saturday night at the Allen County Fair.

The Van Wert County native had plenty of support from friends and relatives in the audience who remember him before he struck it big.

But it's a far cry from doing karaoke at the Allen County Fair a few years ago, to moving to Nashville and trying to break into the business.

His big break happened, thanks to his wife who was a nanny in the Bentley home.

Feasby says it's been a great ride and there's been some memorable moments like performing at Red Rocks last week.

While he was back home, he caught up on some fishing on some familiar ponds near home.
