After a long week at the fairgrounds, Sunday was a day for cleaning. Families packed up their campers, kids cleaned out their animal pens, and vendors rolled on to the next fair.
Arriving on the Thursday before the fair, the Winegardner family enjoyed a full and busy week out at the fair. For Brian, the fair is an opportunity to bring the family together.
Most of the Winegardner's week was spent out at the barns where Brian's daughter Madison showed her hogs. Sunday, Madison was in the barn cleaning out her pen. Hard work--Yes, but after nine years of showing animals, for Madison, its just part of the process.
The fair was also a busy week for 11-year Josh Kerchner. Cleaning up after showing one animal is tough, making Josh's job that much more difficult after he showed three types of animals.
With campers heading home and animal pens cleaned out, clean up crews will be in on Monday to pick up the trash that litters the grounds and grandstand infield.
