Joel Yoast is trying to get his life back in order.
Trying to find a job.
Trying to catch up on child support.
Trying to be a better father to his children.
He was one of five people to graduate Monday night from The Ridge Projects TYRO Dad's program.
The Ridge Project, located out of McClure, Ohio was founded by Ron Tijerina who spent 15 years in prison for crimes he says he didn't commit.
Out of that experience, and his effort to become a better father, came the Christian based Ridge Project.
His son Brandon is Product Development Specialist at The Ridge Project.
Both father and son go into prisons teaching the inmates about how to become better dads, even while behind bars.
Yoast, meanwhile, is still looking for employment while pursuing an education at OSU Lima where he's attending classes in hopes of earning a degree in social work.
