A Lima woman is in critical condition after a Wednesday night shooting.
Lima police say 52 year old Kristina Edington was shot in the chest during what's being described as an attempted robbery.
Edington had just arrived home at 1521 West High Street just after ten o'clock when she was approached by a black male demanding money. Detectives are looking into what happened next but say Edington was shot while standing in her driveway.
She was able to describe the suspect as a younger black male, possibly in his teens to early twenties....about 5'5 to 5'8, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
Baker believes the suspect may have been simply walking through the area at the time when he spotted Edington.
He says the shooter ran off on foot.
