For Ken and Jennifer Hoehn and their dog Archie, camping at Ottawa Metro Park is becoming a regular thing.
This Labor Day weekend the Lima residents were among only a handful of campers at the park.
Bob O'Connor, chief park ranger for the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Parks District says they have actually been pretty busy.
David McDaniel and his family who are also from Lima, decided to come out to Ottawa Metro Park, despite the rainy forecast.
He says he was surprised the campground wasn't full.
And he says the rain really wasn't all that bad.
One memorable thing did occur for the McDaniel family this Labor Day weekend, six year old Samantha learned to ride a bike, without training wheels.
There is still plenty of time left to camp at Ottawa Metro Park.
The season's last day isn't until October 14th.
