
It's been a long hot summer and for area gardeners it's been difficult to grow some crops.
Over at the Hancock County Fair Grange Hall, entries are down a bit and things look a bit smaller.
Hancock County Extension Educator Ed Lentz says the drought did take a toll on many fair entries especially tomatoes.
Lentz did say apples should fare pretty well in the drought if they survived the spring freeze and they'll be sweeter too.
