Mother Nature cooperated for the last big summer fling this weekend.
The Labor Day weekend saw the Grand Lake camping areas fill up fast.
The threat of the remnants of Hurricane Isaac rolling through didn't scare away those hoping for one last blast of summer.
Park officials say many put in their reservations early this year to secure a camping spot and say they are glad they did.
And it follows a trend following the hot summer where many are trying to grab a little peace and quiet before the cooler temperatures arrive...meaning the parks are the place to be.
But even as the park activity was up a notch, there wasn't a lot happening on the lake itself.
Park officials say they are confident that activity will slowly begin picking up.
