"Obama Homeland Tour" Travels Ohio Roads

Posted: Updated:
Spencerville, Ohio -

With only 62 days until the November 6, 2012 election, "Obama for America's Heartland Tour" is moving through Ohio, making a stop Tuesday in Spencerville.

Driving through the Ohio countryside, team members are talking with farmers, students and other rural community members. North of Spencerville on State Route 66, team members met with Dan Dardio, who volunteered his barn for a political mural. Driving up the road, the once bare white barn now shows support for Obama with his slogan "Forward,"a message that Dardio has already received feedback from.

Over the next 10 days, the tour bus will be traveling across the buckeye state to talk with Ohioans about what team members are calling, "issues that matter." During the tour, several special guests will be jumping on the bus, including former Governor Ted Strickland.
