Walking for a cure for Alzheimer's disease

A perfect day for a walk in the park.

Nearly 200 people were out supporting the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio today in the organizations annual walk at Faurot Park.

Alzheimer's impacts an individual's memory, judgement and ability to reason, eventually making them incapable of caring for themselves.

Director of Development for the organization, Toni Schindler says Alzheimer's affects more than just the people with the disease.

Most of the money raised goes to the Northwest Ohio chapter but some does go to the national organization to help with funding research to help find a cure for Alzheimer's.
