KENTON, OHIO -
Health Partners of Western Ohio are branching out, opening a new Community Health Center in Kenton. The new facility makes seeing a doctor easier for Hardin County residents, but also helps to create jobs in the community. The New Community Health Center, located at 405 North Main Street in Kenton, held an open house on Monday. Residents took the opportunity to learn more about the services offered at the center, including medical and behavioral health care, as well as an on-site lab and pharmacy.
When the center was opened, management looked to the community to find area residents to fill open positions. Finishing up her Medical Office Management degree at UNOH, Vanessa Fraizer now holds her first full-time position, a position she hopes to grow in.
Open for just a week, the health center has seen five to seven patients a day. One of those patients, Spirit Wolf Muirgheas, who travels the world, stopping in New York, L.A., London and Paris. For the past four months, Spirit Wolf has called Zanesfield, Ohio home, and found his experience at Kenton Community Health Center to be second to none. Patients receiving care at the health center have all said the same thing, they are so happy the facility is now here.
