Elida, OH -
Reading is supposed to be fun, but sometimes we need a little help. That's what the H.O.S.T. program at Elida Elementary School is for. H.O.S.T. is Helping one Student to Succeed. After a brief training session, H.O.S.T. pairs a mentor with a student for a half hour of one on one reading per week. The program has been around for twelve years, and while there are repeat volunteers, they are always looking for more. If you would like to help a student, contact Ms. Bennett or Ms. Shoup at 419-331-7901.
