Veterans Honored in Fort Shawnee

Veterans were honored during Fort Shawnee's Veterans Appreciation Day and Parade. Residents lined the streets to honor military heroes during a morning parade. Veterans, both young and old, were honored on Saturday, some for the very first time.

For Vietnam veteran Terry Baggs, the cheering crowd is something he never received when he returned home.

Fort Shawnee's Veterans Appreciation Day comes less than one week after the 11-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
