Lima Ohio -
Lima's Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P) holding their annual awards ceremony Tuesday night. The award ceremony allows police to thank area citizens who went above and beyond what was asked of them.
Tuesday night's "Citizens Award" went to Keith Roney. Roney found an envelope containing nearly one thousand dollars. Instead of pocketing the money, he decided to call the police and file a report. Without the efforts of Roney and other residents doing the right thing, police say the community wouldn't be what it is today.
Don Marik was awarded with the "F.O.P Member of the Year" for his efforts on the scholarship committee. Lou Varrato was also honored, being selected as the "Fraternal Order of Police Associates Member of the Year," for all of his charitable work.
