Lima man shot overnight

A man is shot twice overnight and police are now looking for the person responsible.

Lieutenant Jim Baker says 30 year old Timothy Evans was shot in the 1100 block of West High Street around midnight. Evans was hit twice, once in the hand and once in the groin. According to initial reports, the shooter yelled Evans' name and then shot him. Evans was taken to St. Rita's Medical Center.

Baker says the shooter was wearing all gray and his face was covered with a mask. Detectives believe Evans was targeted.

Detectives say Evans did not recognize the voice. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers or the police department at 419-227-4444.
