Lima Ohio -
Home sales in Ohio increased for a 14th consecutive month in August, with a 12.7 percent increase. Recent reports also cited a 4.4 percent increase in average sales prices. The average cost of an Ohio home in 2012 is more than 135 thousand dollars, where as in 2011, the mark was 129 thousand.
Tim Stanford, owner of Yocum Realty, says the Lima area also noticed a 12 percent increase in home sales, and believes after more than a year of improvements, the housing market is almost back to where it was proceeding the market's crash.
As home appreciation goes up, Stanford says its important for buyers to take advantage of the buyer friendly market before things change.
