Students and faculty from Lima Central Catholic get excited for their Thunderbird Walk are now in the 10th year of the event. This is no ordinary walk. Each year the school raises money to put towards a good cause within the lima community.
Each year the school picks a new cause. This year, students and faculty have raise over $30,000 dollars to go towards Spina Bifida. Even tough 6 miles may seem long, but its worth knowing the money is going towards people who are in need of a little extra help. On days like today, students are able to bond outside the classroom. It gives them a chance to talk to someone from another class they may have not talked to before. Not only to students bond with each other, but they are also able to bond with facility members.
In more ways than one, the Thunderbird Walk helps bring the school and the community together.
