The holiday season is just around the corner with Black Friday and Christmas quickly approaching. The importance of seasonal hiring can be seen by both employers and employees.

Moving from "The Sunshine State" of Florida, to "The Buckeye State," Juan Nicolas now resides in Lima as he attends the University of Northwestern Ohio. On Saturday, Juan was at the Lima Mall's job fair applying for jobs to help make ends meet.

Audrey Deblasis was also applying for jobs to help pay for college. Audrey's focus is making sure her daughter's education at Cornell University is paid for.

Helping to hire people like Juan and Audrey, are stores such as Elder-Beerman, Old Navy, Victoria Secret and Aeropostale. As a manager, it's up to Kelly Lindeman to hire seasonal employees to help fill the holiday demand. At Saturday's job fair, she started filling 32 part-time positions.

Seasonal hiring is in full swing with only 56 days till Black Friday and 86 days till Christmas.
