For Ryan Jewell, Kernel Coopers corn maze, east of Van Wert is …. well..... AMAZING.
He's been here about ten times so far.
Corn mazes like this are big business across the corn belt.
This one has been around since 2002 according to owner Rod Cooper.
The design for the mazes can be quite intricate.
This year's maze commemorates the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.
But it's been an up and down venture for Cooper.
The weather plays a big part on whether the maze is a success or not.
In 2008 the maze was flattened by high winds.
Cooper is a big supporter of Relay for Life since his then wife Leslie died of ovarian cancer in 2010.
That year there was no maze.
To help Relay for Life he's set up an air cannon where people can shoot at a big pink ribbon.
Three shots for a dollar with 25 cents of each dollar going to Relay for Life.
Cooper has since remarried and continues to marvel at the people that make their way to this part of rural Van Wert county to go through his maze.
