Wind power generated from northwest Ohio will help power Ohio State University in Columbus.
The university says they've pounded out a 20 year purchase agreement with Iberdrola Renewables, owners of the Blue Creek Wind Farm in Van Wert and Paulding counties.
The wind farm will provide enough energy to meet as much as 25 percent of the Columbus campus' electrical needs.
Ohio State says this will also help create new opportunities for research between Ohio State and the wind power company.
