LIMA, OHIO -
Two schools come together to provide students with some hands on learning experience.
Students from Apollo Career Center are tearing down a building on the Lima campus of Ohio State University. Nearly 50 students from the construction and equipment technology program at Apollo are using heavy equipment to take apart the unused maintenance shed. They are expected to complete the project by the end of the week.
OSU Lima's maintenance supervisor, Marc Pescosolido, came up with the idea. Pescosolido also sits on Apollo's board.
Both juniors and seniors are participating in the project. The wood and concrete from the de-construction will be taken to Resource Recycling in Lima.
