After just one year, the University of Findlay has a new 42,000 square foot addition to call home. The new addition is to the Davis building that The University of Findlay purchased from Owen's Community College in 2006. The new facility will house the biology programs and serve students taking biology based science courses primarily in the colleges of sciences, health professions, pharmacy and forensic sciences.
Bethany Dean, Associate Professor of Biology said "this expansion was unique in that the faculty members were involved in the planning process from beginning to end."
She also said that with the National Science Foundation grant they received the university now has a DNA sequencer, flow cytometry, and other new equipment to aid students in learning about biology.
