A surgical robot is helping doctors at Lima Memorial Health System perform surgery with greater detail and more efficiently.
The da Vinci Robot was used for the first time today (Wednesday) to aid doctors during surgery. The hospital is starting to use the robot in the gynecology department, but is already training doctors and surgeons in other departments. The robot will not only help doctors in being more precise, but it will also improve patient recovery time.
Two surgeries were performed Wednesday using the da Vinci Robot and each one ran smoothly.
