Smoking kills nearly 450,000 Americans each year according to the Center for Disease Control and is the single most preventable cause of disease. To help combat this problem. OSU Lima professor Dr. Green along with Dr. Lynn of Binghamton University have created a program to help smokers stop.
It's called the Winning Edge, which is a longitudinal scientific study that combines cognitive-behavioral cessation techniques with self- hypnosis to help smokers achieve a lifetime of freedom from smoking.
Dr. Green has more than five years of research devoted to this new program and says "Its healthier for participants because it doesn't involve any medication." the general public is invited to participate in the program. To enroll or for more information go to lima.osu.edu/stopsmoking
