If you are a heart surgery patient and use St. Rita's Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program Phase 3 and 4, you should begin looking for a new workout facility.
Patients at St. Rita's were sent letters last week informing that the program will be discontinued October 31st. Spokespeople for St. Rita's confirmed the letter and informed patients of an October 17th meeting where off site facilities offering alternative programs will be discussed. St. Rita's declined further comment on the announcement other than to say it was simply a "business decision".
Bruce Boggs, a patient, says he's been using the program for the last 4 years and gives the program, and the care its employees give, raving reviews. He doesn't want to see the program disappear.
Earlier this month, St. Rita's announced it was terminating the jobs of 60 positions.
