The city of Findlay is looking for new ways to operate its emergency services. Currently, multiple ambulance services rotate shifts. According to Safety Service Director Paul Schmelzer, the system is not ideal.
Schmelzer says Hanco, Medcorp, and Integrity where given certain non-financial requirements to be met in order for their company to be chosen.
Hanco, whose ambulance service is based outside of Findlay, is open to the idea of expansions throughout the city. Other than the multiple locations, Steven Odenweller says they have to meet all other requirements placed by the city and hope to continue those services.
Findlay administrators will pick a company by the beginning of next year.
