Marine poolees battle in Faurot Park

Marine recruits from northwest and west central Ohio competing today in the Battle of the South.

The recruits...or poolees have already enlisted in the U.S. Marine corps, but haven't yet reported for basic training.

The men and women come from the Lima, Findlay and Toledo recruiting stations.

The competition gives recruits a taste of what they might have to do in basic training.

Your Hometown Stations meteorologist Kyle Adams, who by the way, is not joining the Marines, also participated in the event.
