Unemployment Number Drop Before Elections

Ohio Unemployment

 

According to the BLS current population survey (CPS), the unemployment rate for Ohio fell 0.2 percentage points in September 2012 to 7.0%. The state unemployment rate was 0.8 percentage points lower than the national rate for the month. The unemployment rate in Ohio peaked in July 2009 at 10.6% and is now 3.6 percentage points lower. Unemployment numbers continue to drop in the month of September. New numbers released by Job and Family Services shows all local counties unemployment numbers fell from August to September. In Allen County, they fell from seven point 1 percent to six point 8 percent. Auglaize, Putnam and Mercer counties continue to have the lowest numbers in the state of Ohio.

The September numbers coming in at 4 point 9 ... 5... And 3 point nine percent respectively. Hancock County drops from 5 point 6 percent to 5 point 3 percent,,, Hardin County falls to six point 4 percent,, Logan to six point 2 percent and Van Wert 6 point 7 percent. All local counties are below Ohio's September unemployment numbers of 7 percent.
